The closeness of family is a very important and ingrained tradition in our culture. It is through my children’s interest in horses that my own love and enthusiasm for the Arabian horse was born. Some years ago I received the gift of an Arabian horse from H.H.Dr. Sheikh Sultan, Ruler of Sharjah; this was influential in arousing my eagerness to acquire more such beautiful animals. I am very grateful for the guidance and knowledge His Highness has shared with me over the years.
Another mentor of mine is my good friend Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani, Al Zobair Stud, he has taught me how to truly enjoy and value the beauty of the Arabian horse. Over the past years I have traveled the world attending many Arabian horse festivals and farms and have hand-selected a number of the horses who captured my eye; from this the Al Hawajer breeding program was started. My goal is not only to breed beautiful Arabian horses but to develop a network of friends with the same goals and interests.
Today I am very proud to own not only a farm but a family interest. My eldest son Mohammed is a permanent fixture on the UAE show jumping team having had great success so far competing in the Gulf States. With a bright future he now has his sights set on the larger picture. My third son Rashid has a keen interest in the Arabian show scene, photography as well as the bloodlines and breeding program of our stock.
Our farm has expanded over the last couple of years both in number of horses and facilities which now includes a breeding facility, swimming pool, walking machine, round pen and sand arena.
My family and I are looking forward to sharing the gift of our beautiful horses with the wider equestrian family.
